Highly-skilled workforce especially in the area of certified chartered accounting is expected to be in greater demand, about double the current supply, reflecting the increasing importance of this profession to the country. Malaysia needs 60,000 professional accountants by 2020. In aiding Malaysia to reach this vision, Yayasan Peneraju embarked on a proactive intervention initiative.
Yayasan Peneraju, since its inception in 2012, introduced 6 sponsorship accounting programmes (full time and part time study mode) to suit different entry points ranging from SPM leavers to working professionals. These programmes target to support aspiring professional accountants with highly sought after professional accounting foundation certification (ie. CAT) and professional accounting certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA Australia, ICAEW and MICPA-CAANZ.
