EGYPT TO WITNESS DROP IN TEMPERATURE, STORMS STARTING SUNDAY

The meteorological authority said that a sudden drop of almost 10 degrees will last until Monday

Egypt's meteorological authority (EMA) said in a statement that a noticeable drop in temperature with winds and dust storms will be seen starting Sunday.

Warm weather prevailed across Egypt last week with temperatures in some governorates rising to 27 degrees Celsius.

The meteorological authority said that a sudden drop of almost 10 degrees will be witnessed from Saturday until Monday.

"North coast along with Sinai and Cairo are expected to witness some rains on Sunday," the statement read.

Cairo will witness a high of 19 and a low of 12 while the Mediterranean coastal city of Alexandria will see a high of 18 and a low of 13.

Ismailia and Suez will see a high of 20 and a low of 12.

Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh will see a high of 28 degrees and a low of 16.

The country's meteorological authority is advising citizens to keep warm during night hours when temperatures are lower.
